COMING OUT OF MY FUNK!! Thanks to all my buddies who would not let me fall into
the whiney trap! I have nothing to really complain about, just inertia. After finally being sick of all my self pity, I turned on the computer and saw all the wonderful messages from my buddies. I answered a few last night and found that it may take a little more effort but I can control the tremors in my hands for short periods of time. What am I doing to myself? I was finding it harder and harder to socialize with my neighbors and staying cooped up in my apartment reading. Music is needed, LOUD music! I went for a spin in the heat and I didn’t wilt. As a matter of fact I felt better. Then I signed up for 3 classes in the Community Room in July. If I sign up I am obligated to go. A low impact exercise class, a Tai Chi class, if I can do the upper body movements only. Then a Cooking for One class. I may learn something new. Hey, can’t hurt! Looking around for new foods to try. I am going to dig my way out of this rut I am in. Thanks again. Report in later. Love, Marge
Oh, so glad to hear you got the funk out! What a great way to do it by music, being outside, and signing up for classes! I’m the same way - if i sign up, i’ll go, if i don’t, i won’t. let us know how they go! i love tai chi!

Hey Marge - you sure do look like a sweet person! Good for you to be watching your weight. Best of luck to you..the cooking class sounds like a blast. I only wish sometimes I had to cook for one….there are four of us, four VERY picky eaters. By the time I’m done cooking MY meal, I’m starving! Have a great Friday and weekend! Janet
I know the rut you are talking about, all tooooooo well, myself! It’s great that you took the initiative, and joined those classes! May be just what you need. Ya know Marge, I love this diet, but I have read that when going a bit low on some of those amino acids can create a bit of moodiness. I will be writing about this soon. I have decided to incorporate a bit more ocean life into my diet. Plus the soy may not be so good for me. But hey we try and I am trying.
As for you, you go Ms Thing trying these new activities and classes. You will have so much fun. I too just started a book club and we will see how that pans out. If no one comes, I may be on my own, lol. Have fun and I LOVE YOUR WILL TO JUST MOVE FORWARD AND MAKE IT HAPPEN
What a great gal you are. *hugs*
Have a terrific week!
Thinking about you….
Have a great weekend. How are the classes?
I’m glad you’re feeling better…sometimes we are our own worst enemies, but no time for sulking here, you have tons to do! Seems like your days will be occupied with exercise classes and cooking courses!!
We found a wonderful site for ordering diabetic safe food online. They have some of the best darn stuff I’ve ever ‘et.
low carb low sugar or no sugar:

We ordered the nutella breakfast cereal. It’s kind of like grape nuts. Slice a banana into it and it’s muy delicioso!
Hi Marge,
The activities you have planned will be wonderful for you. My brother was in a terrible accident last year, and had his hip crushed. He was only able to use his upper body, and had to keep his lower body completely immobile for two months. He worked on his upper body, and now, thank God, he is walking. This is amazing since the doctors didn’t think he would be walking by Thanksgiving last year.
Keep doing what you are doing, it is great!
I love Tai Chi. I tell you what, I will do a set tomorrow and pretend we are doing it together. Might be fun. Hope your plan works. I have trying to get out more myself. Yesterday I sweated up a storm…and wouldn’t you know that was the day my friends were all around to give me hugs….I just told them I was a bit sweaty but no worries…it just made the hug stick around longer.
